Friend

I've written on writing lyrics, and things pertaining to that, but I'm going to start my first post on my life. But not just mine, but friends and family also. Names will be changed to protect the innocent, the only name that is real will be mine, unless otherwise noted.
I write about my life, and friends and family, because that's always a great way to get the creative juices flowing. I also apologize for any future rants, that is not my intention.

First story is about my best friend Zoe and me. She picked the name I would use to write about her.

We were best friends from the age of 12, and we were inseparable. I think we considered each other a sister, especially since neither of us had a sister. The best part of our relationship was that we told each other everything! Which is what a sister/B.F.F.'s should do.

When we reached the old age of 17 we had a "falling out", and Zoe and I lost touch with each other. The short story of the "fall out" is we had a massive disagreement, words were yelled, spit flew, tears were shed, maturity was absent. Years went by and we reconnected, on non other than Facebook! All the drama from our past was just that, in the past.

We caught up with each other. She had a child, a handsome little boy. I had a new sister, my parents adopted a 3 year old (now 7). She was getting a divorce (now final! woohoo). I was engaged (now married! woohoo).

Zoe was always the type of person who would make a fool of her self for her friends, even if she was self-conscious. She always made sure she protected my image at the risk of her own, which is a great quality to have in a friend. A funny story comes to mind about her and I at the mall in our neighborhood. I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 15 and I often had severe seizures in public. Well, people didn't know what was happening to me in the mall one day while I was having a seizure and a lot of people were staring at me. It was embarrassing! I was fully conscious, but I was seizing a lot that day, just like every other day. So Zoe, being who she is, starts flailing her whole body around like a maniac! People start staring at her like she's a lunatic, which might not have been too far of a stretch! But I thought it was hilarious so I start laughing. She did that did my seizure stopped. She did that many times. People often looked at me differently after I was diagnosed with epilepsy, like I was a burden or a sad little bird that needed extra care, which was obviously true to a point. But, Zoe never did. If anything she barely noticed it. She new when I really needed help and new when I needed to be left to deal with it on my own. She also called me out when I would use it as an excuse...

To be continued...
